Each year, Vestavia Girl Scouts visit Kanawahala Program Center in Chelsea. Here girls can hike, canoe, paddle board, and enjoy campfire songs and s'mores while enhancing sisterhood of Girl Scouts.
Many years ago, Service Unit 262 began a service project putting on a holiday party for the residents of Glenwood Autism and Behavioral Center. The girls sing songs, play games and present residents with gifts.
McWane Science Center has been the host to our STEM lock -in for the past several years. Girls get to do hands on science experiments and roam the adventure halls after hours.

Girl Scouts and Girl Guides around the world celebrate World Thinking Day each February. World Thinking Day 2020 celebrates the diversity, equity, and inclusion reflected in our global movement.
The Sweetheart Dance is a fully girl-led fundraising event. Older troops plan and execute the entire event even serving as DJs and photographers. This is a very special event for our Girl Scouts.
Badgeapalooza is fun day in the outdoors as over 100 Girl Scouts earn badges and patches together at McCallum Park. Each troop plans one badge or activity and presents for the rest of the troops in their level.
