Each year, Vestavia Girl Scouts visit Kanawahala Program Center in Chelsea. Here girls can hike, canoe, kayak, and enjoy campfire songs and s'mores while enhancing sisterhood of Girl Scouts.

Many years ago, Service Unit 262 began a service project putting on a holiday party for the residents of Glenwood Autism and Behavioral Center. The girls sing songs, play games and serve holiday treats.

Girl Scouts and Girl Guides around the world celebrate World Thinking Day each February. World Thinking Day 2024 will focus on the positive difference Girl Guides and Girl Scouts can make in the world as they explore the conditions that girls and young women need to thrive in an environmentally conscious world.

The Sweetheart Dance is a fully girl-led fundraising event. Older troops plan and execute the entire event even serving as DJs and photographers. This is a very special event for our Girl Scouts.
